IMPORTANT NOTE: Our team is full and we are no longer taking applicants.

 

We’ll take our fourth journey to New Orleans (NOLA) this summer in partnership with MissionLab and City Life of NOLA! Our high school (completed grades 9-12) specific journey will take place Saturday, July 6 through Friday, July 12. Spots are limited to 32 students. Registration is through Brentwood’s Focus Missions site, which encompasses registration and training in one place.

 

COST & REGISTRATION

COST: $450
DEPOSIT:  $100

Cost includes transportation, lodging, fellowship activities, and all meals.*

*There will be some travel meals and a few other expenses not included in this fee. These will be discussed in training.

Students will need additional money while traveling. All steps below must be completed for your student to attend.

  • Create a Focus Missions profile and submit an online application (where the link below leads you).
  • Pay a $100 deposit to secure your spot.
  • Attend in-person training (details below).
  • Complete the online training & all required paperwork.

ADULTS 

Are you interested in leading students in New Orleans? We would love to have you join us! We need leaders willing to help lead students in serving and in a small group setting, as well as adults comfortable driving a 15-passenger van. JOURNEY INFO

This journey to NOLA will be facilitated through MissionLab, which is affiliated and offices at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS).

TRAVEL: We will travel to NOLA in passenger vans. We do plan on a few stops for food and fuel along the way. Students will need money for these meals and snacks.

LODGING: We will stay on the NOBTS campus in dorm rooms with 4-6 bunk-style beds per room. Guys will be in one dorm; girls in another. We will be staying in proximity to other church groups, but our rooms should be just Station Hill people. All adults that serve as part of MissionLab groups are background checked.

PROJECTS: We will be working with Jacob Crawford and City Life NOLA. Our ministry projects in NOLA will include relational ministry such as homeless ministry, neighborhood prayer walking, park ministry, and gospel conversations.

 

STUDENT TRAINING

There will be in-person training as well as online training components. ALL training must be completed to participate. Save the date below for the in-person training at Station Hill.

PARENT MEETING

We’ll go over important trip details, the week’s schedule, the packing list, and more. This will also be an opportunity to make any final payments and submit all required paperwork before check-in on the day of departure. Please make plans to join us!

REQUIRED FOR EACH STUDENT or LEADER:

Please complete and turn in the following forms to the Station Hill student ministry office no later than the parent meeting on Wednesday, June 26.

  • 2024 Medication Form – if your student has medication. If needed, please print and turn it in to the nurse at check-in on July 6.
  • 2024 EPIPEN Form – if your student has an EpiPen this form is required. If needed, please print and turn it in to the nurse at check-in on July 6.
  • 2024  DIGITAL Time Away – if your student will not be taking church-provided transportation, and/or will be arriving late or leaving early from New Orleans. Students arriving late must be brought by an adult to Mission Lab. Students may not fly to New Orleans unaccompanied unless the family has an approved guardian that is willing to pick them up and bring them to Mission Lab. Students leaving early must also be picked up by a parent or guardian from Mission Lab. This form is due to the Student Ministry office no later than Wednesday, June 26.*

Additional paperwork may be required for your student’s serving location. We will update this website with any additional forms as serving locations are finalized.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you find you need to cancel, please notify Jason Gossett as soon as possible at 615-850-3104 or [email protected] before Friday, May 31 to receive a full refund. After May 31, the deposit is non-refundable (except in circumstances such as the death of a family member or physical illness.). This is due to trip costs already incurred.
