You Must Remember and Repent
August 16, 2015
Jay Strother · Nehemiah 9:1-5
The word of God impacts the people of Israel who respond by repenting of their sins as a nation and remembering God’s mighty acts of faithfulness to them as a people. In a similar way, the Lord’s Supper leads us to remember God’s ultimate act of faithfulness by which Jesus became the sacrifice for our sin as a people.
Note: “We Will Remember” was written by Tommy Walker in response to this chapter. This would be a great opportunity for us to highlight testimonies of God’s faithfulness to Station Hill.
Note 2: We will go back to passing the elements of the Lord’s Supper for this Sunday as we prepare and equip our deacons for the process at the new campus.
