Jay Strother · Revelation 22
Last week we saw that there is “no sea” in heaven, but this week we see that there is a “river of living water.” Why is the water source of heaven a river and not a sea (Ez. 47:1-12, Zech. 14:8, John 4:10-14)? What is our great need that Christ meets? What is the most significant feature and blessing of the eternal City of God (v. 3-4)? What will our role be like as active servants of the Most High King? The entire Bible ends with an affirmation of its complete truth (v. 6,18-19) a benediction(v. 14), and an invitation to “Come!” Have you responded to the grace of God? Are you faithful to hold out the invitation to the gift of “living water” in Christ? This book is the “revelation of Jesus Christ.” What has Jesus revealed to you today? What is He calling you to do as a result?
