We’ll take our second journey to New Orleans (NOLA) this summer in partnership with MissionLab and City Life of NOLA! Our high school (completed 9th-12th grade) specific journey will take place Saturday July 9 through Friday July 15. Spots are limited to 25 students. Registration is through Brentwood’s Focus Missions site, which encompasses registration and training in one place.
COST: $450
DEPOSIT: $100
Cost includes transportation, lodging, fellowship activities, and all meals.*
*There will be some travel meals and a few other other expenses not included in this fee. These will be discussed in training.
Students will need additional money those while traveling. All steps below must be completed for your student to attend.
This journey to NOLA will be facilitated through MissionLab, which is affiliated and offices at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS).
TRAVEL: We will travel to NOLA in passenger vans. We do plan on a few stops for food and fuel along the way. Students will need money for these meals and snacks.
LODGING: We will stay on the NOBTS campus in dorm rooms with 4-6 bunk-style beds per room. Guys will be in one dorm; girls in another. We will be staying in proximity to other church groups, but our rooms should be just Station Hill people. All adults that serve as part of MissionLab groups are background checked.
PROJECTS: We will be working with Jacob and City Life NOLA. We were connected with Jacob through Final Command, a ministry that supports other ministries operated by a Station Hill couple. Our ministry projects in NOLA will include mornings of relational ministry (homeless ministry, neighborhood prayer walking, and conversations) and afternoons of cleaning, organizing, and construction-like serve at a local church.
There will be in-person training as well as online training components. ALL training must be completed to participate. Online training will be e-mailed out after registration has been completed. Save the date below for the in-person trainings at Station Hill.

In preparation for our trip to NOLA, we will continue to monitor all information as it relates to COVID-19. We have intentionally made adjustments to this year’s trip to try to account for the need for continued caution. This includes limiting student participants so that we can travel with a smaller group, as well as limiting the sites where we’ll be serving.
We will provide further clarity on any safety measures required by the city of New Orleans as well as our own church requirements as we get closer to the event and have the ability to more accurately determine what precautions will be needed.
